NEW malossi complete OVER RANGE racing variated transmission setup for piaggio / vespa mopeds!! The included belt is specifically designed for Si, Boss, & Grillo and we are not yet sure how it will work with other models so you may require a different belt.

THE KIT CONSISTS OF :

  • Special Belt
  • Belt with section increased by 23% (from 13 to 16 mm)
  • Multivar MHR variator
  • This is the first time that Multivar MHR has been adopted on the moped scene!
Malossi has completely redesigned this variator:

    • New sliding rails
    • New adjuster spring
    • Longer hub
  • Torque Driver
  • This is the great novelty of this kit: the ability to house a true torque driver with double sliding rails to customise the gear curve as desired!

    • New pulley set, consisting of fixed and movable pulley with Ø increased from 100 to 110 mm
    • One-piece welded fixed and moving pulley with especially surfacetreated bushing
  • Fly Clutch
  • Ø 107 mm clutch, redesigned with new masses to adapt to the opposite direction of rotation.
The Malossi spring coupling allows operation at a predefined optimum RPM attack point.
Optional: 2 sets of springs are available to customise your vehicle.

  • Wing Clutch Bell
  • Reinforced clutch bell with a finned cooling ring, perfectly matched to the newly developed high-performance Fly Clutch. This is the only component common to the scooter.

  • Primary gear shaft
  • We went as far as modifying the primary gear shaft to accommodate a pulley and clutch/bell assembly derived from the scooter world.
Having become the connecting element between the newly designed components, this shaft has been reinforced with an increase in the shaft Ø to 13.5 and is supplied with a nut, oil seal and roller shell for mounting.

WARNING: in order to fit the primary gear shaft included in the kit, it is necessary to have fitted Malossi primary gears art. 6718630 or 67 7021.

NOTE: THIS IS FOR SERIOUS VESPA RACERS ONLY! NOT FOR THE WEAK. GURUS ONLY

NOTE: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START YOUR BIKE WITHOUT DRILL STARTING OR ADDING A PULL START KIT. I REPEAT, NO MORE STARTER CLUTCH SHOES.

NOTE: THE REAR DRIVEN PULLEY WILL NOT FIT CIAO DUE TO THE OVERSIZE PULLEY WITHOUT MAJOR HACKING OF THE FRAME.

Honestly the holy grail of "moped" transmissions. I never used the clutch that's provided, instead swapped on a 3-way tunable stage 6 scooter clutch. Yeah its spinning backwards, but it works great(for now?).
Don't listen to the naysayers, buy this and put it on your ciao with a lot of bending, and a little grinding.

This kit comes with everything you need...well sorta. Probably going to want to get a weaker contra spring, the one if comes with is decently stiff, standard stuff with malossi. Lighter roller weights could be used, I think it comes with 6g weights, normal aftermarket sized. Also, this kit has room to run a support brace on the rear clutch/input shaft. Gotta make your own for that, but if you're buying this kit you should be already conjuring dark vespa magic. Pinasco hinted at they were making a support brace for normal sized input shafts but this one is girthier, so make one.

Side note: bx40 belt is the length you want for putting this kit on a Bravo subframe. However, don't use that belt its too stiff and isn't the play. Seems like the treats honda hobbit belt might be the play, gotta test it. Malossi gives us a fucking bravo belt already you dicks!

Also, you can use this with normal gears as long as they are straight cut. But the shaft also fits with malossi gears
