5 of 5 Start with blues... October 2, 2014

Running a Polini kit and I've tried red, yellow and blue.

I have to say- BLUE works the best on Polini.

The beauty of V1 is that it has tons of low end torque and too much clutch slip just murders the bottom end. I bought this clutch to be more consistent and long lasting than the stock with blue springs and it has succeeded masterfully. No more broken springs.

Don't forget to red loctite the starter clutch side and blue loctite the shoe side. I use a small butane lighter to heat the screws for removal.

Thanks, Walt!

5 of 5 Dont know how I will ever go back to any other July 31, 2014

As most know, I have been chasing the clutch dragon for many years.  Breaking everything, I mean everything from BRN to KTM to the ones that I had made myself.

Even had Tribco line the shoes of my own clutch and still, I had the same shearing the center stud or breaking springs within hours of riding anywhere.

This seems to be the solution.  Smooth engagement, V1 in E50 conversion, 6500-7k launches with the red springs and 7500-8k pickup on cruise to hammertime.

Would buy all of them if I had thousands to play with.

5 of 5 The keystone to my bike. November 3, 2013

Ive been through many clutches on my bike and they have all hindered me.  I build this awesome engine and the BRN breaks over and over.  TrickMETRIC comes out with this clutch and I finally have the the missing component to my build.  Did I get one with the smaller taper? Yes.  Did I care? No, its a custom moped part, don't be so jaded gang.  Is it amazing? It is the most elegant engagement method for me to course all of the power of my cylinder to the tires.  Its so smooth with the red springs and conventional ATF.  As someone who has run the gila cylinder in the past, this will be the clutch to harness its characteristics. Thank you again Walt for allowing me to actually finish this bike as I imagined it.

this is an awesome clutch, easily the best clutch available for minarelli v1's.  with 12x44 gearing, 80 mera, cali pipe, vm20 it slips to 30mph with the red springs and engages right into the pipe.  very smooth and ... it's actually lighter than the stock clutch!
