purchased this crank for an av10 build. I only purchased this because Christophe from Tomahawk's recommendations. I have this in a bidalot setup. dropped right in without needing any modifications. I have put 1000+ miles on this build and ripping without any issues. 60mph+ great value

Needs Work to Fit Older AV7 Case and Cylinder

Installed in a 1963 AV7 case and it wouldn't turn at all as the crank lobes were rubbing on the engine case. Used a grinder to make more room for the crank and then found that the connecting rod was wider than stock rod and hit the cylinder skirt on the up swing. Used the grinder to narrow the connecting rod to stock size. Lots of work but in the end it works great.

Installed this crank in my stock engine with the stock piston and it would vibrate my teeth out after only a short ride.
I checked it for run-out and it was fine. The only thing I could think of since it's a "full circle" crank and the stock crank is not. That it needed a different weighted piston to balance the assembly correctly.
I took it out and sent it back. Benji was great about dealing with me on this. I got a stock crank from Benji and the engine was in much better balance. Not as good as I would of liked, but at least the bike was now ride-able.

Crank needs machining to fit AV10 cases

Crankshaft web to axle radii machined way too big from the factory. If you try to press the bearings without machining excess material, there will be about 0.040” gap between web bearing seating surface and the face of the bearing. There is no way to assemble AV10 cases with bearings seating like that. I had to machine the crank in order to get the bearings seated right. Not sure, how it works with AV7.
