Same issue with Andy from Chicago and Kyle from Portland. The inside were powder coated. I was able to use paint thinner to loosen the coating and used sandpaper to remove it. Something to keep in mind when purchasing.

Love these. Threw them on my stock '99 A35 Tomos sprint with no issues whatsoever. No coating in the way, cotter pins I ordered fit great. Pedals I got for $6 on ebay threaded right in. Definitely recommend.
update: I slapped a Tecno Boss pipe on with zero pedal clearance issues with these.

These did appear to be powdercoated on the inside of the shaft and pedal threads but I was able to screw in the pedals and mount them onto my A35 without having to remove the coating and now my pedals clear my carb.

Nice pedal arms... Except they don't fit anything.

These pedal arms are powdercoated black... all over, inside and out. They will fit your pedal shaft but it will consume 1 or 2 wire wheels for your dremel to remove the coating. Also, you'll want to just get 8.5mm cotter pins now unless you crave extra work. You'll need to wire out the pedal threads too. These arms are great otherwise but they get 1 star because masking off the interiors before coating should be a no brainer.
