IMO, on the Polini variator for vespa, these get less travel than the round rollers. They do shift more seamlessly like they claim, but they definitely leave a little travel unclaimed.
That being said, if you notched your vario, you'd probably get MORE travel. I made some internal weights for these to match and then exceed the weight of my round rollers and they still didn't get them cheeks spread. I'll keep playing around with different inserts for these, but this is my first impression after a moderate amount of tinkering

I just started using these, had the weights that came with my TJT for almost two year then threw these in, oh my goodness so much wheelie. Using a hydro front fork with disc brake and knobby tire from cr80 with me weighing 195lbs hobbit wheelies til about 45mph.
If you're not sure if you should buy these, just buy them, they're cheap and take 2minutes to install. So much awesome.

AYE CARUMBA! explosive acceleration is not a joke... mayhaps would best serve as a disclaimer. I convinced a friend to slap them on his bike... unfortunately he wheelied and grabbed the front brake, putting himself and the bike on the ground! no worries! chicks dig scars! and by association chicks will love these sliders.
All the fun of sliders without the grezzy indigestion!
