new HPI CDI mini rotor ignition for minarelli V1. so this new mini external rotor is actually lighter than the HPI internal rotor!

this version has an integrated 60W light coil for super bright lights!! great curve and comes with all you need to make the change.

uses a 27mm x 1mm left hand thread puller!!!!!

always use a resistor boot or resistor plug when running a cdi or you run the risk of burning up your cdi box!

the trail tech voltage regulator works the best with the mini rotor!

take note there is NO fan adapter included, fan plates available separate.. email for special order till we get em in the store.

80mm stator, this lil guy is TINY.

now in 24K GOLD or BLACK or RED. hpi kinda chooses the color for you so you don't have to. no picky choosey. ooh and it has timing marks on it now whoooieeeee

oh and now we have the fan bracket, sweeeeet!

if you bought this you already know it's awesome.

ACHTUNG: before purchasing this please make sure that you have the CEV 6932, BOSCH or Ducati ignitions.  The CEV 6940 ignition has a much larger stator, so the mounting holes on the case are drilled much further out than they are for the other ignitions, so the HPI will NOT bolt up to your case if you have the 6940 mounts.  HOWEVER, you can get it to mount because the mounts are cast into the case still for the other ignitions, you just need to drill and tap them.  It will work fine, just have to do a little more work.

Started my virgin V1 Gila right up with ease.  The lights work perfect.  Throttle response is gnarly, especially with Vforce reeds. I was surprised when I held both the stock CEV and HPI flywheels in my hands: the Mini is not *that* much lighter at all, so you shouldn't need the flywheel weight for this.

THE one and only thing that kind of sucks is that since the stator is so small, you don't have room to adjust the screws for timing.  This means that you'll need to pull the flywheel off every time a timing adjustment is desired.  Oh yeah, the V1/Puch clutch puller tool works well for doing this.

So it works, and works well.
