so the garelli tank is smaller than a magnum tank but miraculously this bolts right up to a magnum frame.
The front mounting points actually perfectly line up with the rear end of the magnum TANK "mount". It's a little tricky but some short 12mm bolts w/ washers and you're good. I then just used some techscrews and screw into the rear magnum seat mounts right into this seat. lines up perfectly with my garelli tank.
edit: it's so perfect that those little cutouts on the seat for the shock mounts even lines up!

Bolts right up with no modifications necessary.. the rear shock towers fit in the cut out, the rear two studs fit perfectly where the original rack or long seat would bolt up.. the side brackets line up perfectly to the frame.. the only thing is this seat has a steep angle up front the leans forward for that aggressive 70's 2 stroke steeze.. so the tank doesnt touch the seat cuz its scared and it creates a triangle portal like my girlfriends thigh gap.. in a nutshell an RD50 tank or something with forward lean should fill in that gap amongst other things ;)...

Like the other reviewer said, this seat goes perfect with a General tank. It's a solid seat with great padding. I run hard tail suspension, and this seat works like a charm.

REALLY comfortable. I've been to two rallies on the bike this is on and it's AWESOME. Butts up real nice to a general tank.
Everyone is suprised by how comfy the seat is - nice firm foam - not sheet metal covered in packing material.
Might have something to do with the foam not being 30yo too
