vespa performance variator by polini

this is the best variator for vespa that I can tell. the quality is superior.

includes two sets 5.6 gram weights for some reason. it's also got a blue cover. maybe you could even grease you rollers and the cover might keep the grease from splattering everywhere? no rear tension spring, but you can get em here.

need a replacement ramp plate? look here

lost your grease guard? good thing we got em on deck

Super quality shiny magic for my 1980 Grande April 9, 2019

This variator is really nice and high quality. With the 4.4 gram rollers installed for the first time i almost did a wheelie on accident and freaked me out. You grip on take off really well compared to my really old stock. I think i will switch to the included 5.6 gram rollers. The rev sound is so high with these almost makes me nervous something will explode. My Grande is much happier it feels more like a dirt bike now.

Way better than stock vario -- just fantastic. The dust cap doesn't fit under the side cover of my Ciao as some have noted, not a big deal.

Kept blowing off my stock Vario December 31, 2015

After kitting my bike/several bikes I kept, not knowingly, blowing my stock varaitor off(with stock weights) The Vario would spin the 24mm nut right off and then I would spray my Vario all over the road. After installing this Polini Varaitor the problem stopped. Put the 4.4s in and kept BLASTING!

After seeing first hand what CiaoCiao did to his Malossi Variator (the varaitor was spinning so fast and so hard it ate right through his Ciao frame) the spacer also was mangled and useless after countless beatings

Added this Polini variator (+ Polini 65cc jug, and Malossi toothed belt) to Vespa Bravo. 30 mph at 1/2 throttle  (still in break in). Very satisfied. FYI stock Bravo side covers will not fit over new variator with cool blue Polini dust cap. X2 hill climbing at 1/2 throttle.
