I got a fresh set of these purple brakes and a sealed bearing conversion kit on a pair of 17x1.35 wide spokes. Makes a huge world of difference in smoothness and braking power! The kit is definitely worth the extra $20 over the cheaper set. And it’s purple…

maybe the material inside my mag hub is spent or my cables are overstretched or some other user error, but i was hoping for greater stopping power on these.  i've got older lelue's with older pads that stop better, but i am going to try them again on a different bike.
