My feelings exactly, Paul H... I'm gonna dab a bit of adhesive of some sort under mine to keep it in place. Its definitely nice to have, but not necessary. I wear sandals a lot and like to have this on the lever.

Let me tell you, this thing is a Be-otch to get onto the lever. Also, it has a habit of coming off of the kick start if you try to turn the motor over more than a few times. But it really dresses the kickstart up. It's also more comfortable to kickstart with the added cushion on your foot. Not a problem if you use the starter, and 100x better looking folded kickstart.
I've ordered a lot of parts from Treats, and this little guy has to be my favorite.

Nice lttle cushion for your kick start . My TOMOS didn't have this from the factory or the dealer stole it which is doubtful anyway pretty neat and it matches the dot grips and brake levers
