After replacing my Bosch points on my za50 multiple times, I'm starting to think that the lack of lubrication (from that felt piece) is causing premature wear and rust on the flywheel, which cause premature wear on the brown fibrous piece on the points that rub on the inside of the flywheel. This little felt piece might actually be the key to all my problems..

You can make about 3 of these for the standard Puch/Sachs stators. If in doubt, just replace it. Super easy to do so.
