If you buy this, buy the needle at the same time. The original needle doesn't fit this float well. Between this float and the new needle, my gas leak is solved.

Title says it all. You may need to sand the hinge to get the float needle to sit right.

Get this bad boi. Way better than the OEM wood type just by nature. However when I got it I had issues with it that drove me insane until I figured it out. First off I adjusted the float height which is pretty standard but it was still leaking. After days of pondering and following “How to fix a leaky bing” I figured that the play between the float pin and the hinge on the float was my issue. This was nowhere in any literature so that’s why it took me so long to figure it out! You must fix the play between the pin and the hinge!!! I did this by squeezing the hinge with square tipped pliers while a (preferably spare) float pin was inserted in the hinge (this is without any contact with the carb body btw). Pretty sure you don’t want it tight so there’s noticeable friction but also you don’t want any play. This was causing the float needle to never sit quite right because when the float was fully UP the play would allow the needle to move DOWN and not completely seal. Hope this helps!
