I bought this sucker 5...maybe 6 years ago in hopes of one day throwing it on my bike. Actually...I own two. Finally got it installed on my Magnum and there is no comparison to any other ignition out there. Lights for days. Like others have mentioned, you don't need a battery for your lights to stay bright even at idle. They are full on bright with no flicker for me at idle (tail/headlight).

follow the instructions on setting up. For the regulator you want to do:
two blacks from harness to the two blacks from regulator
brown from regulator to ground
make another ground wire for the regulator male connector.
red wire out will be power to everything.

This is just way to much wattage for no reason, this is like 8.5 amps. U could charge your iPhone without a battery maybe. I would definitely step up to 12 gauge wire

You want lights? You want to run your walkman all night? Running this with an H7 headlight bulb and led tail lights. Super stead at speed but flickers at low rpm. A battery and this is the perfect setup.

You never know what a powerful spark can really do until you try it. I have installed one of these on my e50 and I just want to get one for all my bikes.
The price is expensive, but it definitely has great build quality.
The price difference from 75w to 100w is worth it because of the DC regulator alone, and extra juice.
