... not enough threaded length for Vespa.  Either buy an m7x1mm tap, stack washers (ugh), or reuse stock studs.

And yeah m7x1mm nuts are readily available.

The nuts don't exist. Both ends are m7 x 1.00mm. Normal MBK are m7 x 1.25mm for the carter only. Polini only!
