5 of 5 worked on my garelli noi November 28, 2020

I went with the green Pietcard cdi coil igniton setup and wanted to go 12v lights for super rad LEDs at the same time. I've read some people have been able to use the old stock ignition coil, flip it, and use it as a 12v light coil. I couldn't get that to work consistently. This coil worked perfectly. Dropped in and start blinding people.

3 of 5 Questioning Reality September 25, 2020
taco eater : Brute Squad Steve from Pawtucket, RI United States
Has anyone actually confirmed that this produces 12v A/C current, after replacing the original light coil ? Tried 2 new pietcard 12v coils consecutively on a CEV stator, with 3 different rotors, cleaning and jumping ground points, and still couldnt produce over 5.7v at WOT .... Even ground out the holes on one to get it from .090 rotor gap, to within .017 of the rotor magnets to no avail ...

5 of 5 Minarelli V1 drop-in replacement June 9, 2016
taco eater : Spraynard Kruger from PARMA, OH United States
My old 6v lighting coil shit the bed. Ordered this little gem and it was a drop-in replacement, no modification to the coil  needed. It comes with one yellow wire which I ran to a cheap Chinese 4-pin 12v regulator/rectifier, then split the new 12v DC into 3 for headlight, LED tail and LED brake light.

5 of 5 Easy Derbi Modification! August 11, 2015
taco eater : Robert Smiley from Fountain Valley, CA United States
To update your Derbi Lights to 12V use this guy; very little modification is necessary. Works on both PP/PR and Flat Reed point systems. Carefully drill out the two mounting holes on the new coil with a 7/32" drill. Scrape off the end plastics a bit where it goes into the points holder for a bit more clearance. Buy 2 ea. 4mm X 25mm (.7mm thp/mm) screws or cap screws. Do a clearance/wiggle fit on the flywheel clearance and use a good 12V regulator to save your 12V lighting bulbs and you're good to go! Note, leave the 6V brake light bulb in as it is energized by the ignition circuit, not the lighting one! You're gonna have a 12V real loud horn now, also. It shouldn't burn out but ??? Remember you still only have 35 Watts total so add up all of your lighting wattage and don't exceed that or you'll have dull lighting.
