This thing worked well to replace the Speddo drive after i converted my Bernardi 3 star Mags to 12mm sealed bearings.
Had to bore it out but it's fine because there is a ring on it around the hole that is conveniently at 12mm.
With proper spacing from the bearing with some washers, I bent the tabs out and used a screw in the wheel to stop it.
Used a VDO cable and it needed some teflon tape around the drive square piece to properly seat and work.

for what it's worth, I think this drive is slightly optimistic w/ a VDO gauge.
