It works fine. No issues here. Make sure you disassemble the bitch 'n inspect / loctite errythang before you send it home. Don't forget to grease the needle bearing.
I was advised to throw a couple welds on the drum to prevent failure ( as others mentioned ) but I did not... It seems fine so far?
Comes with 5 shims of varying thicknesses. Shimming it on the crank is a pain but it has to be done. Basically you're just making sure the variator has some room to spin freely without it clunking side to side. Don't quote me here cause I don't have an og stock variator with factory shims but I'm pretty sure there's .8mm of shim behind the deepest circlip then 1.6mm of shim behind the outermost circlip. On mine I have .4mm of shim then 1.3mm. Not sure how much you'll need for yours cause there's a million variables but hopefully mine will give you a ballpark of where to start. I don't think it has be perfect by any means.
Welp, I think that's it. Have fun and be safe. Xoxo

After reading the other reviews of this Variator/Clutch, I was hesitant to buy it..... but I did it anyway.
Super easy to install (you'll need the puller tool and snap ring pliers). Use the puller to take off the top plate, and then use your snap pliers to take out the first snap ring, followed by 3 washers, and then the final snap ring.
BOOM! on/off in about 15 minutes! Wowzahhh bub.
600 RELIABLE miles in about a week - sounds good to me! Just make sure everything is buttoned up nice and tight and you're ready to rocket.

The clutch is junk, and now it's stuck on my bike. maybe I can heat it a bit? Who knows?
But spend the money on the better variator.
