here's the word, straight from the man himself! these batavus adapter plates allow you to bolt an M56 cylinder onto an M48 case. The m56 has an aluminum cylinder with better porting, a nicasil/chrome bore, and a much better head. Its also easier to port. Use gaskets on either side of the base plate if you need to shim it up, or leave them out to shim it down. Its annealed aluminum so it is soft enough to be a gasket by itself with a dab or two of motoseal.
