Its a resistor. Its very similar to the one found under the plate bracket on a Honda Urban Express Deluxe (NU50 M) which is necessary to prevent the battery from boiling over, but not quite the same. looks identical however this one only yeilds 1.5 ohms where as the factory unit calls for 6.7 ohms per the manual. Heck im gonna try it anyways.

Works perfectly but regulates voltage at 6v. Anyone have a 12v solution? I'm guessing this is just a few small capacitors stacked inside the unit. I mounted mine on the right side of the frame where the stock airbox mounts to the center tube. I do not run an airbox, so it was the perfect spot that gets air. This unit gets HOT. Do not mount near plastic.

Stopped blowing my lights

This resistor is really simple had to drill and tap into my crossbar to mount it. The unit gets super hot so you need to mount it away from any plastic. Other than that it works great just plug into the battery terminal and it regulates the voltage really we'll. lights are a little dim at idle but a hell of a lot better than blowing bulbs every ride. This part is essential if you want to run with no battery
