This kit, the A68 series is universal and accounting to HPI website fits the MB 5 an MB 8. It does kind of put you need to work on the back plate as on the MB8 motor I run taken to a 110 cc with all the goodies, the flywheel locks against the stator when you set the timing it will run and start but I run only top of the line new cranks on my builds so it is 100 percent true. I am running the 2 TEN kit on my 70 cc MB 5 motor and that kit also took a lot of work to get it to fit and run. Hence my take on the HPI systems are they love to rev but light coil and firmest issues are common. I think I has the best results with an old HPI system on my buddies vintage CZ 400 and we did need
Need that low 10 watt l lighting coil on that one. The bikes we either kit are harder to start and they run not as even as stock but they so rev. Are any HPI kits worth the money over stock given the price I would say no. Put that money elsewhere in a better pipe or carb set up.
