I can't imagine why you'd lube a belt to put it on when the m48 literally has forward adjusters on the subframe for belt tension, and any kind of lubrication will slip on the pulley. Heck, just get it around the clutch first then slide it on a little and turn the pulley by hand and POP, it's on in 2 seconds.

Top quality belt for a tired Batavus. Use two flathead screwdrivers and some bar soap or lip balm on the belt to slip on the new one.
