what's it for? i don't know. it's the plastic round thing for doppler peugeot and motobecane variators. maybe it keeps the two pulley plates properly spaced for the belt?

This spacer keeps the variator from closing all the way.  Don't use it unless you like slow.  I think doppler includes it with the variator so it's legal to sell in the US.
