dellorto 21mm phbg ds race edition for racers of course. race edition features black powdercoating, metal float bowl, quick access jet changing bolt on bottom of float bowl, screw off carb top (versus two screw removal on regular edition), oil intake nipple, vacuum intake nipple, and an official certificate that you are a 'racer'. sick. race edition uses rubber coupling mount, clamp edition is available but only in non race edition, bummer. race edition also features a cable choke, though the pull style chokes are available separately too if you prefer not to add more cables yet desire a choke.

perfect for kitted motobecane, puch, peugeot, minarelli, garelli, sachs mopeds etc.

found on numerous motorcycles and scooters as well - check your manuals, do some research. polini 50, husky 50, ktm 50, vespa, ya ya.

the dellorto 21mm black race carburetor generally comes with this set up so you can plan your tuning
main jet = 92
idle jet = 50
starter jet = 60
slide = 40
needle = W7
atomizer = 262 AU

Are you tired of immediate throttle response at every flick of your wrist, super easy side of the road jetting, all the nice girls snapping their necks when you go by? Then this carb is not for you. I will be using these on every build that i do from this point on. Get a nice range of jets if you're like me and live at sea level, and you're gold. I have to jet all the time here to keep up with air density and this carb makes it a breeze. Last week my 104 main was running hot around 370 degrees, today an 82 wouldn't break 260 degrees and was too rich. buy it, don't be a stupid idiot.

Nice carburethor. The paint isn't very nice (the aftermarket - replica Dellorto'' has much nicer painting, but different needle and so on).

I think it maybe is a little bit to big for stock Athena AJH cylinderkit, don't know. According to plugchops.

But I like Dellorto's.

Regards...

5 of 5 A lovely lil' carb July 5, 2011

Even though everyone is all over Mikunis lately, I have a hard time wondering why. This carb is so insanely easy to work on and tune and the spigot mount makes it super easy to use on tons of setups. This carb currently gets my Hobbit to the low 60s with ease. I haven't experienced drastic jetting issues with temperature changes or changing weather conditions, either. It's a lot more compact than the TM24, too. I'll be honest and say I just grabbed a TM24 to experiment with, but a well-tuned PHBG is a phenomenal carb. Cons include lack of a pull choke out of the box and expensive jets.
