the pros at protireinstall.tv have this rim protector and now we have it! very handy tool that slides into the rim during installation or removal of tires n tubes! once you insert the rim protector into the lip of your rim then you will be able to pry against it instead of the rim!! yayy no more scratchy sracthyyyy!!

and the string is for pulling it out when your done! i think???.....
