3 of 5 Not enough for treats 70cc kit/VM20 July 19, 2023

I built a 70cc treats kit with VM20 carb, o-ring head, super stuffy crank, etc. The bike would die any time I moved the throttle above idle. It would act lean but plug read rich. I tried richer and leaner needles, a whole range of main jets, searched everywhere for air leaks, then tried a bigger exhaust and even CDI. Last resort was to try another reed, I went with the ER2. That was all it took, now it rips on the stock needle. Still have to tune the jets in but when looking at this reed vs the ER2, the ER2 opens like 3x as much.

This might work great on the 70cc treats Kit with a smaller carb. But the VM20 needs to push a lot of air, which I should have expected.

i've had these in my 103 since day 1. several hundred if not a few thousand miles with zero issues. even tried the doppler ER2s and went back to these. kinda unsure how to properly seal them, but i've been running the top gasket and relying on the rubber seal on the case side. 15/10 tacos

5 of 5 oh wow these are nice March 26, 2020

yeah, i had a set of these from a tomos i bought and just bought another set.  they open way farther and i'm hoping the rubber keeps the reeds from getting smashed.

they open way far so be careful that what you are installing them in has enough room, i had to make a spacer plate for a puch polini so the reeds didn't hit the casting in the cylinder.

i really like the plastic malossi ones but i think i like these even better now.

5 of 5 Seals great. Last long. December 12, 2015

I Have had these for almost a year and they still work way better than stock  Polini or any of the malosi flat reeds I've tried. It must be the rubber coating. If you like dry air filters and great throttle response, get this. It's cheap too.
