This WILL back off if it’s installed without the spring. It uses the spring to preload the threads.
FYI this fits VM18’s, VM20’s, and FA50 VM12’s — I’m not positive but I believe every Mikuni VM carburetor can use the same air mixture screw.

Neat adjuster...too bad it came out and I lost it while I was riding. That was weird.

treats face is cool but a little hard to tell how much you've turned it. will probably take nail polish and put a red dot on it at 12 o'clock.
