5 of 5 Very basic, but does the job most of the time. Saturday, September 7, 2024
taco eater : rambunctious_rockhound from oh-eye-oh
This is a "voltage dumper" style of regulator. You wire the yellow wire to the output of your light coil, and the brown wire to the frame ground.

When the voltage goes too high, it dumps the excess voltage automatically. It does this so quickly that the output stays relatively the same as the engine increases in speed.

If you have a basic moped, with a simple headlight wired directly to the coil, this will work really well.

THIS IS NOT A RECTIFIER, IT DOES NOT PRODUCE DC, IT WILL NOT WORK WITH A BATTERY, IT WILL NOT CHARGE YOUR PHONE!

3 of 5 Voltage Regulator Thursday, February 24, 2022
taco eater : Adam Rogers from versailles, KY United States
only two wires, no connectors included, the adjustable part has been covered so as to prevent me from adjusting. What the hell do, splice into the yellow wire to headlight and other to ground?

5 of 5 Works as expected Monday, July 1, 2019
taco eater : Jonah Loshnowsky from Peru, IN United States
Spliced in another wire on the yellow one, because the tomos a35 has a 3 prong regulator, then soldered on some connectors. Everything worked great, although i never messed with the adjustable voltage screw. if it ever claps out ill rewrite my review, maybe.

5 of 5 Nice Monday, June 3, 2019

Works great.  For those of you that want to run a battery in order to eliminate lights dimming at idle, use a heavy diode in line to the battery.   You will need to change the horn to a DC horn.

5 of 5 Reliable AC regulator Thursday, August 2, 2018
taco eater : Robbit the Hipper from Hobbitland in Upper Mopedizia
Use this on any non-stock Hobbit to dump AC voltage above the dialed-in setting. Factory setting of 13.8 is fine, especially if rectifying after the regulator for LEDs or other DC accessories.

5 of 5 The one you want. Thursday, January 25, 2018
taco eater : Jonathan Feldman from Portland, OR United States
In my opinion, the best voltage reg treats carries.
The cheaper ones are kinda hit or miss.. sometimes they work perfect... sometimes you're blowing tail lights left n right.

Bypass the bullshit and buy this guy instead.

4 of 5 It go down on its knees & stripped Tuesday, December 26, 2017
taco eater : Countryob from Princeton , MA United States
I tried to adjust the screw, and I literally stripped the threads of the screw without even trying. Absolutely bs, I emailed them and they did send me another regulator but I really think they should rethink this.

What ever they are putting on the screw head to protect against weather, its horrible and makes the screw head junk.
