Spent hella time confused with what to do with all the parts, then looked at my Sprint and figured it out since it’s the same set up. To use all hardware you need to ditch your black/grey threaded race. It goes like this: dremel out one of the races to slide down the fork, then bearing ring, then fork tube race. On top it’s fork tube race, bearings, the other loose race you didn’t dremel, then either the notched threaded ring and the little cover, or the cover first and then the notched ring. Then plate, washer and fork nut. The loose race and notched ring act together like your black/grey one you had originally only thicker. If you reuse that race you will have a lot of thread left up top. It might be ok but I was worried about bottoming out the fork nut and not being sure it was tightened fully. On my Sprint the cover goes over the race and the notched ring is on top of that. I put the cover on top of both because I think it looks better/cleaner/cooler. Hope this helps someone.

5 of 5 perfect enough Sunday, June 26, 2016
taco eater : Skriz from San Diego, CA United States
To everyone whining about the inner diameter of the crown race being too small to fit the steerer tube on EBR forks - this can be overcome by 2 minutes of using a Dremel. Don't even tell me you own a moped and don't have a Dremel!

5 of 5 easy mod to fit a maxi Tuesday, January 19, 2016
taco eater : josh hickman from goshen, IN United States
these cups are made of hardened steel, and are really tough on your bits, but if you are dedicated, have the lower outsides shaved down just a hair, and they will fit in your maxi. you can then bolt up ebr disc break set-ups like the tomos street mate and revival with perfection, provided you make a 26mm ID x 10mm thick spacer.

5 of 5 Shiny and stuff! Tuesday, November 11, 2014
taco eater : Byron from Port Coquitlam, BC Canada
Fits well on my '77 Tomos A3.

I spend hours trying to clean up my old set and they still looked bad. Get these to complete your restoration!

Don't forget to grease up the roller bits.

4 of 5 Nice quality parts. Thursday, August 21, 2014

Not a perfect match for my Free Spirit though.
The bearings are the right size, but the cups don't work on my frame, and I'm getting a lot of lateral movement at the top.

Still, its the closest thing I've found so far...

3 of 5 not 26mm Wednesday, April 3, 2013

nice set but the fork crowns are not 26mm as advertised. they are more like 25.8mm just enough not to fit over a 26mm headtube (maxi non-hydro EBR). bummer.

3 of 5 Murray Tuesday, February 19, 2013
taco eater : Murray Man from Warren, MI United States
So if you have a Murray this is the headset you need. If you are using your original fork everything will fit perfect. If you have to replace your front fork with an EBR like myself..... Then you have to dremel out the bottom race to get it to fit over the head tube past the threads. It will go down to the bottom of the threads, then stops because the pipe is TOO FAT after the threads. Thanks EBR FOR DOING A CRAPPY JOB.  ALSO, if you are putting this on a Murray you will also have to cut the neck of the cups down. The cups are too deep and wouldn't fit inside my headtube. They were sticking out about a half inch each. I popped them back out cut a half inch off each cup and popped them in so they would sit flush. It's all together, seems smooth and tight.
