4 of 5 Looking for some feedback... Sunday, June 22, 2025
taco eater : Ken Benoit from Clinton Twp, MI United States
I installed this 60cc cylinder kit on my 1984 FZ50 and it the engine "feel" is not a smooth as it was with the stock piston and cylinder. The engine has a vibration now.  Not horrible, but noticable. I'm wondering if the bigger bore piston weight is creating the vibration and if I need to have the crank balanced to accomodate the bigger bore....   I would be greatful for any feedback... thoughts...

5 of 5 best 150$ spent Friday, May 10, 2024

I have done the kits on our FZ and one of our FA's I'm about to do our other FA now. they are a great way to do a low cost top end and get a bit more power. up sizing the jet is a must! the FZ has a bigger carb but I also had to up size the main jet on that. we still have all the other parts stock on the scooters as they are used as pit bikes at race tracks and we can't go faster than 30 around the pits anyways. dealing with treat land is always great. easy ordering with fast shipping.

5 of 5 Use the factory head! Tuesday, August 1, 2023
taco eater : FA-50 from Michigan
Installed this kit with Treats 60cc "Touring" head, and it barely ran. Was about to toss the whole kit in the bad ideas box until Treats tech suggested popping the factory head back on. BAM! What a difference! Now it has that sweet, sweet power you all want and crave!

Jetted 90 and 17.5, needle one clip leaner, stock airbox.  With a stock pipe, it gained 5mph up top, and gets you there in half the time.

With the MLM Next Level pipe, it gives up a little off the line, but power picks up HARD around 10mph, and keeps pulling hard until she can rev no higher.  This combination sounds bitchin too, yet it isn't that much louder than the factory pipe.

Build quality is nice, easy 2-beer install, factory pipe drops right on but the MLM took a little work to line up. Probably makes even more power with a larger carb and airbox, but if you want to keep your Shuttle looking factory, it is still a huge improvement without them. Chamfer your ports!

1 of 5 maybe I got a lemon . . . Wednesday, February 8, 2023

I did find one other account of the piston not coming to end of cylinder at TDC on the inter web.  I'm putting this kit on for a friend.  Piston doesn't reach end of cylinder at TDC - almost 2mm short.  Ring gap is likely too large as well as cylinder slides over piston way too easily even with ring expander.  Resulting in 75 psi compression using small engine comp tester.  Even mo problems given piston does not fully open any ports out of the box.  I imagine Honda pa50 spacer will work given same stud pattern.  This is just an over-bored stock cylinder and I am over-bored with it as well.  So I got that going for me . . . .

5 of 5 works great. Sunday, April 19, 2020
taco eater : Kira Anderson from Belle Fourche, SD United States
Use the stock carb with stock pilot jet. Put the 82.5 main jet in. The needle is stock at clip in the 3rd slot. Put the 2 stage reeds in. Drill some holes in your stock air breather cover. stock exhaust bolts right up. Fires right up and runs great. Have not drove it yet. It started snowing.

5 of 5 Little ripper Saturday, November 17, 2018
taco eater : Thom from Seattle, WA United States
Paired this up with the standard malossi red clutch springs, dual stage power reeds, MLM side bleed, and up jetted to 82.5. the power rips start at 12 mph and take this baby to over 35+ fast.
CHAMFER YOUR PORTS AND POLISH! I shredded my rings and thought the kit was toast. Chamfered, polished, new rings, and blam-o. Ripping harder than my farts after taco tuesday.

5 of 5 Cheap, fits, works ... boy does it work Saturday, January 30, 2016
taco eater : Dangerous Daz from New Zealand
Fitted along with a MLM intake, Mikuni VM18, big UNI filter in the breeze, and a MLM peoples sidebleed pipe.

Well made kit, affordable performance for the masses, you want more torque! go get it!

Exhaust port is as cast (which is how suzuki does the stock anyway), I polished that to a mirror to keep carbon at bay for as long as I can, light chamfer on the tops and bottoms of the port windows, good to go!!!

the port windows in this jug are much bigger than your stock jug, its an alternative for those who want a ported engine and all the power that brings but don't have the tools or know how to do it themselves, fit this kit and wham bamm thank you 'mam!!!

Kit measures at 56cc, not 60cc, don't let that put you off though, its bigger and better

5 of 5 Super clean. Super easy. Tuesday, May 19, 2015
taco eater : Josiah McCoy from Lititz, PA United States
So first off, this is a Kstar kit. The ports are pretty and clean, but will need a solid chamfering. Secondly, there isnt much a difference between the case and the jug as far as matching goes. If anything maybe 1mm or less of difference in transfers. I am currently still getting her cleaned up but will return with a solid review once she is built and some miles put on.
