I got this bad boy to replace the rusted sorry original exhaust on a green maxi i rescued from a basement in marlton nj was there since 86. Put the sucker on loud putting out of connection. ordered the fat gasket when i got the fat gasket i thought this ain’t right removed the pipe and the flange not flat. called my friend over mike. he’s my 70 year old friend. says it can put that in a vise and fly cut it flat. well that’s what he did it’s great now!! F’in A!! wells worth whatever treats sold it to me for. now moving on to other fun stuff.

5 of 5 Nice Stock Pipe Thursday, January 18, 2024
taco eater : Nathan Kopsack from Beaver Falls, PA United States
For $44, it's a stock looking pipe.  You will have to loctite or use lockwashers on the baffle nut.  The nut will fly off, dropping the baffle out the back, and turning your moped into a loud chopper-like moped that will have the neighbors hating your guts.  I couldn't believe a moped could be this loud.  Had to 'side of the road it' and learned from my mistake.  Don't make the same one.  Secure that baffle!

the flange bolts didn't line up for 76 puch maxi nostalgia, so i ended up looting it for its parts and used my header from before. didn't feel like reaming the hole for it to fit
correctly. thanks for the clean parts though

2 of 5 Smaller ID Wednesday, June 21, 2023
taco eater : Anonymous Person
The pipe I received had 22mm OD and 19.5mm ID. It also came with a very thick weld which penetrated into the header where the flange connects. I had to grind this away to make this part usable.

3 of 5 maybe it was user error, but... Friday, February 19, 2021
taco eater : Mason Hatchman from Ridgewood, NY United States
I had the pipe on properly for a short period of time, not sure the exact mileage but it wasn't much at all, and the nut holding the baffle on came loose and became one with the road. Tried putting a new nut/washer on, that one came off too. Made the pipe very loud, and now the pipe is splitting where the baffle meets the header (proper terminology? who knows).  Looks great tho, maybe you won't have the same experience!

3 of 5 The baffle fell out and rubber melted. Sunday, September 30, 2018

The battle came loose and fell out after 10 miles.
The rubber o-ring around the baffle melted so now it’s blisteringly loud. Can I buy a baffle?

It looks bone stock except for the thick ass header pipe, which is probably where all the extra breathing comes from. Gets a 70cc kit to 40mph.

5 of 5 I like it a lot Sunday, July 22, 2018
taco eater : Chief from Omaha, NE United States
I've got a 1980 Maxi Sport MKII and I wanted to upgrade and keep the stock look. This pipe fit well after I replaced the exhaust gasket. This pipe breathes better and sounds mean. Don't hesitate to buy this stock-ish pipe!!

5 of 5 Great Buy Wednesday, May 11, 2016
taco eater : Steve from NJ United States
Was a tight fit at first on the cylinder studs but after a while it sorted itself out. Other than that, fit's beautifully and the chrome is awesome. Sound's really nice and adds some pop to your stock maxi, compared to the purr of an original stock maxi pipe. Overall, highly recommend!

4 of 5 Not as silent as stock Wednesday, July 22, 2015
taco eater : Edward Ziejka from South Amboy, NJ United States
Nice looking stockish pipe, just not as quiet as stock there will be no silent ninja attacks being carried out with this pipe on, but it's nice. For a ZA50 your going to have to file down the corner of the magneto housing for the header to fit, seems to be an E50 header. Still a nice pipe for the money!
