taco eater : a from mi
No frame clearance issues on tube frame, needs a stud or slightly shorter than stock bolt to slip into the less accessible bolt-hole. Milled sealing surface. i slapped it on a round port cyl w/ og gasket, 15 sha and it works.

19phbg spigot mount will work on this if you feel like playing games. no way to clamp it on, but electrical tape will work...

I dont belive in god, but im willing to blindly join the first cult that produces more of these...

Had one of these take the full force of a head on collision with a parked car (friend jacked themself up in the process). It broke but saved my entire ped.

4 of 5 Needed a little bit of clean up Wednesday, December 13, 2017

The casting is ok on these, some roughness here and there inside.

I had one of these before and the flange/base cracked. This time I made sure to look at the flange and sure enough, it wasn't very flat. A little love sesh with the belt/disc sander cleaned it up and made it good and flat. I don't think this one will crack.

Idk why these guys are using allen bolts on these intakes. A regular m6 bolt and an open ended wrench fixes your tool clearance issues when torquing it down.

3 of 5 i WANT to love it but... Monday, February 27, 2017
taco eater : Goshen Mopeds from goshen, IN United States
ive bought this intake several times, and used it on puchs and minarellis. for v1, its perfect. buy it and dont think twice about it. for puchs...its so so. this is the only intake ive ever had that will crack in half at the base. why? no idea. just look down one day and find it cracked. even after cutting it to fit stock cylinders. shrug. works pretty good on a kit, but you will NEED  a filter that blocks forward air or you can almost promise either a seize or an uneven tune. probably both. the simple solution for bolting it down is to use allen bolts and then cut the short end of your 90 degree allen wrench in half or more so you can get down in there. all in all, its a fantastic intake, but it requires work and consideration to make work effectively on puch. i like my intakes to work right out of the box, hence the 3 star rating. put in the time, and you wont be sorry.

The other SHA intakes for Puch are a pain in the nuts. Just buy this now instead of a shitty one first and then this one after. Seriously.

4 of 5 For Magnums Friday, July 18, 2014
taco eater : Andrew B from Free State Project
Works pretty well for Puch Magnum. Sticks your carb out away from the frame so you won't have clearance issues! Main reason to get this for me.
Square intake.
I JB welded that hole. Didn't see a reason for it.
Issue: The one bolt on the left side of the carb will be difficult to get torqued down and you might have an air leak because of this. You can't reach it with most allen wrenches so you'll need to grab it with something and twist.
Some very fine metal debris in my float bowl, not sure if from this intake or what, so I can't say but it is not harming anything.
Anyway, get it, I like it. It's nice.

5 of 5 also for PHBG if you're clever. Wednesday, September 19, 2012
taco eater : Bradley No-No from Ypsilanti, MI United States
not a great idea for a SHA on a puch. it's actually meant for a minarelli i believe. the ram air effect is not kind to the SHA with a puch. in any instance of using this intake on a puch, you'll want a filter that will help dissipate the ram air effect.

if you get this intake for a SHA setup, then decide later you want a PHBG, never fear!!! if you get a spigot mount PHBG, you can hack the SHA nipple off of this intake, bore it out to 3/4" (19mm) and dremel out the difference and you have a super legit rubber mount PHBG intake. once again, get a filter that will alleviate the ram air effect. i did this myself and it works like a charm! it took a WHILE to dremel after i bored it to 3/4", you can only go so far safely with the drill, then you're stuck using the dremel the rest of the way. happy hacking!!!

taco eater : joe from Boston, MA
this intake is great. seals perfectly, allows for easy tuning, but now all the blowback from my piston port shoots onto my leg and I ALWAYS smell like gas
