I have been working on my moped for about a year now and this little thing is nice i can tell you. I used to clean my moped a little after riding from drips but this helped. When your slowing down to the stop sign now i can tell its kicking in and not flowing out the gas. Thanks to treats and comments i would never have known this existed.

FROM DELLORTO: For Carburetors for motocross, trials, etc, or for engines subject to strong vibrations, spring- loaded valves are required.

"Strong vibrations" ???? Sounds like kitted mopeds... hmmmmmmmm

For you monster 103 runners that have gas leaking upon deceleration, get one of these and it lessens the problem. I still overflow a little, but this spring has  reduced the amount significantly.

if you don't like gas spewing out of your carb while you're riding, THEN BUY THIS. worked great on my dellorto 14.12sha , have rode 2k miles on the needle, and no problems.

This spring loaded needle works outstanding in controlling the fuel flow coming into the carburetor.
Used it on Dellorto SHA 14.12 carb.

I put a new meter valve in new bowl gaskets new banjo new fuel line still leaked out the front of carb saw this ,tried it  only 8 bucks no more leak

I've worked on motorcycles and vespa scooters before, and whenever you do a kit, fuel and air flow changes. On a motorcycle or Vespa I know what fuel starvation sounds like, on this crazy moped it sounded like- muuuhhwawww!!!. And last kit seized when it made that sound . So, from what I've learned In The past float needle affects fuel flow so I opted to upgrade the float needle to this from the one that comes in a new Paco carb. As soon as I put it in, issue solved . I watched all the air bubbles in the line go straight away. Now i can stand hard on the throttle. I didn't even have to upjet again on my new malossi kit. Use this if you're doing any kit with a SHA carb. Get this before you even buy jets for a more accurate tuning . Word up, you will be stoked you did .

Probably the best thing i have ever bought, stopped my 14.12 sha from leaking like crazy. Way better than non spring loaded. Love it.
