5 of 5 Goodbye leaky gurtner! Tuesday, August 28, 2018
taco eater : Matt from Fairfield County, CT United States
Bolted right up with the shorty intake. Jetted with a 58 jet. Cables hooked right up into the carb and had plenty of length to reach the handlebars. Cut the cables back a bit and ran the cables into their original spots. Runs like a charm and no more impossible to get to stop leaking gas, Gurtner! Should have gotten the malossi mini throttle 45 degree cable bendy, but I was able to install without it. Might add it on later. Overall, highly recommended.

5 of 5 Gurt-Poo to a Dellorto 15.15 on my 79 V50 MotoB Saturday, April 22, 2017
taco eater : Keith LaHonta from Walnut Creek, CA United States
Heck of an upgrade, I'd go with a lever choke to make it easier and less cable. Check your throttle cable end, 90 degree might be tight, went with a 32 degree and angled perfect. Jetted with a 58 and found that there should be a round rubber gasket where manifold meets inside carb. Order the carb gasket kit to get it, best 9 bucks you will spend and you have spares.

4 of 5 Good except for cable Friday, August 12, 2016
taco eater : My Name is Your Name or is Your Name My Name from Royersford, PA United States
Picked this up a few years back, just got around to putting it on now.

Definitely an improvement over stock.

Mine shipped with a 70 jet, replaced it with a 58 which seems about right for a stock bike.

Install of the unit itself pretty easy.  Biggest complaint, as others have noted, is that the supplied cable is too short.  Based on suggestion of another poster, I cut back the cable sheathing to get more wire.  Had to do the same on the stick choke cable.

5 of 5 Happy goes lucky Thursday, July 18, 2013

This is a great little package. Stock AV7 enjoys this carb mucho lotto! The jet was too much so I suggest that if you plan buying this carb, pick up some jets too! Why wait to tune it in??? the throttle cable is super long too!

4 of 5 SHA carburetor party install for the Moby 50 Friday, January 27, 2012
taco eater : Larry Gooch from Garner, NC United States
The install was fairly smooth with some small modifications. Like the other reviews, had to move a little from the shorty so the holes lined up correctly. The choke and throttle cables were a little short so I removed the steel cable from the sheath, shortened the sheath by about 2 inches with a small pneumatic cutoff tool. Removed the small ferrule from the removed short piece of sheath and put it back on the end of the long section of sheath. This will give an extra 2 inches of cable which worked perfectly for me. I did have to remove the knurls on the end of the cable as well. Before removing, to prevent fraying I heated the end and applied some solder before cutting. The really worked good to thread through the clamps for the choke and throttle.
I installed a 59 jet in the Dellorto with hopes of getting a little more speed but not. It does however run considerably smoother than with the Gurtner.

4 of 5 Pretty good! Sunday, October 9, 2011
taco eater : Dana Wolfe from Minneapolis, MN United States
The carb I received was the 15.15 NOT the 16.16 but it works well, and I was sticking to 50cc anyway so not a huge deal. I put in a 58 jet and its great.  I'm tempted to go up 1-2 more sizes and see what happens.

More importantly, it is a real improvement over the Gurtner!   Like many people said, be prepared to grind just a little bit off the top of the intake and it bolts right up.

The only gripe I could have was the cable was an inch too short, so it was unusable. But we modified a bicycle shifter cable we had lying around and it worked fine.   So I'd have to say the kit was a good buy. No more Gurtner!

It fits on my moped 50 v (av7)
Now i can go really fast! Don't forget to buy some jets, for tune up, take some 58 i think...
Now i don't have fuel leak!! :D
But it's hard to adjust the cables (the choke and the gaz)

but, you NEED this awesome kit carb!! :D
