Super disappointed with this one

So there are a few glaring problems with this intake. Despite being for a bigger carb, the intake pipe is tiny! Problem number 2, it didn’t work with my VM20! The chunk on the float bowl for draining the gas hits on the transmission cover! I’ll make it work, but super disappointed nevertheless. My bike is a 1980 Honda NC50

Have this installed on my '78 NC50. Of note this part no longer comes with the nipple for the oil injection. To remedy this I drilled the intake, pressed the factory brass oil feed barb into place, and braised it to the intake. Works perfect!!! Intake quality it top notch and everything works as it should, including brake and fender mounts. Very impressed with the quality of this and other MLM products!

Good quality intake, but the intake hole on the reed cage is in the wrong spot. half the hole is covered up by the reed cage.

Perfect! This thing is the best available. I didn't have any problems with the brake cable or mounting. It was super easy to replace. The Mikuni carb adds a lot of low end torque and the moped idles like a dream!

rear brake cable holder is a bad design

The rear brake cable holder has no sink hole to cradle the outer casing of the brake cable. So the raw naked cable and the outer casing does sides through the holder and doesn't allow tension to kick crank start.

Finally an intake for my VM20. Loads more power than stock and even has a little hose inlet that I use for a boost bottle. Turns out the terrible carb with auto choke setup on this little old engine was the problem all along, now it flies! 35MPH on a stock '81 NC50 all day long.

This thing coupled with a 20mm carb and boyseen reeds puts the zoom zoom in my boom boom. My little express has MAD low end torque now and a smidge more top end.
