4 of 5 Not that bad but needs prep. Tuesday, October 28, 2014
taco eater : Ben Whittle from Minot , ND United States
Use fuel resistant thread tape on the tank threads and the threads on the cock where the coupler nut threads on. Don't trust the o-ring to keep any sort of seal. No need to over tighten that way. Yeahhh, lots of bad reviews and it's not the best quality but it will work if you do it right. It's cheep, so just buy it if ya need it! 4 stars because it needs a little work.

1 of 5 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME Thursday, August 21, 2014

Despite the negative reviews and warnings, I purchased this petcock. Big mistake. The metal is indeed terrible and you can't screw it down tight enough to keep the part from leaking. The threads strip out and it's game over. Trying to mod it to make it work but I'd rather have never bought it in the first place. AVOID this part.

2 of 5 turd and a half Monday, April 21, 2014
taco eater : Joe Matarazzo from stratford, CT United States
This thing is a real piece of crap. I've never seen such poor quality metal in my life. Really. For anything. It's like they purposely searched the earth for the worlds worst metal and were like, yeah!!! this is it! The threads are terrible, super shallow and seem like they would strip really easily. Haven't run fuel through it yet but I'll almost bet money its gonna leak. On top of it, the 90 degree elbow faces the wrong way so you can't use the cool lazer/general feature of tucking the line into the frame. Don't really know why I even gave it two stars. Wishful thinking?

Looks good and fit with no mods. Hose outlet is Not on the same side as stock but 1/4 turn and it works fine. 1981 QT50. got a 2nd one might cut the (on position) tub a little shorter, has me switching to reserve at 1/2 tank. still vary
happy.

1 of 5 piece of shit Tuesday, September 3, 2013
taco eater : Ryan Nash from Columbia, MO United States
not worth it's weight in shit.  I noticed my petcock was leaking so I went to tighten it and one turn and the threads stripped and the god damn thing fell off and dumped 1.75gal worth of fuel in my yard, awesome.  technically it DOES work but the quality is absolutely terrible.  I had mine for less than a week.

2 of 5 A real piece of junk Saturday, July 20, 2013
taco eater : JJ from Minneapolis
Based on the other reviews here, I must have gotten a defective unit. The threads on the petcock are 14mm-1.5LH. The coupler is 14mm-1.0RH on the other end, to match tank. The damned pot-metal LH threads on the petcock are "quick start" threads and they kept jumping off of the coupling nut. Thought I had it all squared away, and ended up with a half gallon of fuel on the ground. Oh well, shit happens.

4 of 5 Great Petcock Saturday, April 6, 2013
taco eater : Ryan from Kingsville, MD United States
For the NC50 the blue filter will not fit through the throat of the gas tank and it being a 90 instead of 180 kind of sucks but other than its not leaking yet, and as a bonus the tube is the same length as the NC50 original petcok
