Woke my Hobbit right up, literally twice the power as my stock worn out metal reeds. These are the only way to go for your Hobbit!

Better than stock

The stock metal reeds are just a ticking time bomb, I'm glad to be rid of them. These do a little for the low end, but they really really help the power out from around 20-30. My package was cut in half too, but it looks like it's supposed to be a multi pack and I didn't even look for instructions, so I can't comment on their condition. Now my scootsy has the same reeds as my YZ490 dirt bike

This coupled with the mlm intake and 20mm carb has given my 1980 express ALL kinds of low end power, gained a bit of top end 2-3mph more.

Little change for me

I installed these Dual Stage Reeds in my NC50 1978 Honda Express. I "may" have noticed a slight increase in acceleration, but no change for the top end. I can't seem get it to go faster than 25, the goal is 35. I will continue to do performance tuning... Iv'e not given up yet. Maybe a throttle /carb issue of some kind. I was hoping it was the reeds, but they didn't help me. Better luck on yours!

Man, I put these in and upjetted...now I don't know which helped more! Look very good, have an improved throttle response with stock opened ports and proma. No instructions, but maybe they'll tell you if you ask? I just winged it and I was ok.

Package cut in half.

Maybe it's something to do with shipping to Austin, because my package was cut in half also. The reeds were all in tact, but the instructions and the stickers were neatly cut in half.
I bought these to throw onto my 1980 Honda nc50. I'm not that versed in 2 stroke engines but I think I figured out the right way to install them. It would've been nice to have the complete instructions, and a complete sticker, but oh well.

This came in a package that was cut in half... O.o, they cut the stickers and the installation manual... but whatever.
Anyways my NU50 was completely stock, upon placing it on where they should go, the two screw holes for my stock reeds are WIDER than these reeds. Needless to say I cannot change the screw holes for my stock reed frame. Good thing I have an NC50 around to use these on.

A little better throttle response and much smoother powerband. For $15 you gotta try it.One thing that sucks is treats cut my package in half so my boyesen stickers were cut in half and missing one half of them both.I like stickers too!!
