5 of 5 What a ripper May 5, 2023
taco eater : David Bixler from South BURLINGTON, VT United States
This cdi is so awesome. My bike was already fast but now it absolutely rips!!! I replaced the points on my A3 with this. Super easy install. There is a little mark on the stator. When the line on the flywheel gets to that point, it sparks. Black wire goes to cdi box. Yellow wire goes to lights. Ground terminal on the cdi box goes to ground. Your kill switch wont work anymore so wire that to ground out the hot wire from the stator that goes to the cdi box. Then rip!

yup yup! So i could rip a bit with the 40 year old Ducati pointand condencer, but then it would quit, and i would have to re set it. It would go a while more then rince and repeat... Like it said banging my head on the wall. Well i got this on today and shazam! Rippin again! Thanks Treatland, you really are the best!

My timing light stayed in the same spot 1.8mm BTDC. What curve, mine got lost on the curve to nowhere.

5 of 5 works on sachs 505d April 15, 2020
taco eater : skineepuppy from newark, DE United States
This will work on the 505d but you will have to remove the key on the crank and hand time. It does take a bit of trial and error to get it close, got mine pretty close but not perfect yet. Really easy to install and wire. lights are great with a regulator nice and bright

5 of 5 Buy this for spark issues #noregrets! March 30, 2020
taco eater : ScootyFox from Bakersfield, CA United States
I recently purchased a 1977 Tomos A3 SP. I had issues with spark and found multiple issues with my stator and components. I spoke with a Treatland rep. who recommended this setup. I followed their advice and  this setup replaced my parts and attached to my stock moped with ease. First kick and my moped started right up. I hand timed and also do not have a woodruff key, as it has been sheared off like most old mopeds. Hand timed this using the tap mark on the flywheel and it runs like a top too. Original encarwi carberatur still as well. Point of my story is, BUY THIS SETUP! All of your troubleshooting headaches will go away and you will save ALOT of time.

5 of 5 RIPS big time October 11, 2019
taco eater : Adam Riggsby from allston, MA United States
Is your motor air-leak free and it still sucks?

Will it only idle super high? Is it sometimes super hard to start? Doesn't it sometimes not start at all?

Sounds to me like it could be your ignition being nasty to you.

If you've seen your points arching or if you checked the resistance on your ignition source coil and it is lower then it should be, you should buy this! Or if you don't know how to do that, but think spark is your problem, you should also buy this. Let's be honest, everyone should just buy one of these!

Just as info, we tested a new one of and got 107 ohms of resistance off the ignition coil. Hope this helps some nerds doing diagnostic out there some day

5 of 5 scared the crap out of my gremlins, August 19, 2018
taco eater : syllable from BOSTON, MA United States
and they ran away crying.
'95 targa a35, previously had a bad light pickup coil, bad cdi spark condenser, and other probs, after beating my head off a wall, and screaming every obsenity there is in the known universe at it while pulling back muscles left and right, trying to kick it started day after "lets try this" day... bolted this pile of bananas onto my crap pile, and blammo! the. very. first. kick. started and idled like it had been waiting for a dunks large iced coffee and bacon egg and cheese croissant for its entire life. literally stood up and was like "yo im ready to cut down the rainforest, you with me?" the generator will power your ignition and lights, and the cdi box curve is the shit and doesnt tap out like the stock ones at rpm, and well not much to say except i can throw a half assed drunk foot at it like i forgot what i was doing, and it will brap right up, the 1st 1/4 easy kick, every single time. might not solve your problems but it definitely helped with mine.
