4 bearing case, much more "meat" to work with around transfers and still maintain good gasket sealing area. I was able to easily bore mine to accept 47mm cylinders (51mm cylinder skirt). Take out the "bump", and inner shoulder (only need to do this if you're installing a 47mm cylinder). A better option (for me) than sending stock case to be welded, machined, and bored. No risk of warping or risking porous welds this way. I can easily port-match transfers to the cylinder. Just take your time and pride in your work, and this nice quality crankcase will pay off.
