5 of 5 Requirement for all under frame mounted a3s December 26, 2019

I got tired real quick of having to drop the engine a bit to get to my Dellorto under the A3 frame. This brings it out to the side so adjustments and taking it off to clean is so much easier.

I actually used the stock Dellorto found on some later model a3's (14 12 SHA), I just had to sand down the shim by maybe half, as well as the powder coating on the tip of this.

5 of 5 Motion Left:Putting carbs to the left October 20, 2019

Encarwi is cool for a second unless you realize it sucks. This shoots off to the left and is super quality! I modified mine to have a slotted bolt hole on the left side. Would've been nice if MLM would've though for that in the first place? 15.15 and a biturbo feels very good right now.

4 of 5 Not something to just "slap on there" February 16, 2017
taco eater : John Demi's from Ohio, United States
Over all this product works well. However, if you are planning on just "slapping it on there" think again... I was installing this on a 1984 Tomos Silver Bullet along with a Dellorto 15.15 SHA carb. I had the correct size shim according to treats but for some reason it would fit.  After about an hour and a half+ of monster sanding, I was able to finally snap the shim on to it.  After that, I had to sand an enormous amount off the outside of the shim for it to even fit in the carb.  Also, trying to put the scrue on the left side of this intake it will be a little bit of a challenge. I was able to wiggle it on, so keep trying.  I didn't even have to drop the motor to install this. You can say goodbye to your stock side panels if you haven't modified them. They can be modified quite easily if you know what your doing!  Overall a good amount of work will pay off in the end. This may be "expensive" for an intake, but this is a very high quality, powder coated, and looks to be custom made.

EDIT TREATS : Sorry you had a hard time with this! These intakes are a direct fit with this shim https://www.treatland.tv/dellorto-SHA-1mm-carburetor-shim-puch-p/dellorto-sha-shim-1014600-62.htm We rechecked our stock and all of them fit this shim and all of these shims fit all the 15.15 sha we sell. If you got the shim or carb elsewhere, which I think you might have since I don't see them in your history, perhaps they were not genuine dellorto and the fit is off. For everyone else just use that shim linked above and you will be all good with no sanding required. Thank you for your feedback!

taco eater : Sam Smith from Madison, CT United States
38 years and 3000 miles the ol encarwi finally shit the bed, so I thought it was time to upgrade. really my only option was to buy another encarwi, or do this and get a working carb, so I chose this and boy oh boy do I like not having to drop my engine to do something other than changing jets. lots o options for better carbs, and port while yer at it

Fit 1984 tomos silver bullet pointed left, didn't need to drop engine to upgrade from a 30 year old 12mm encarwi (#51 jet) to a new 15.15 SHA dellorto (#59 jet)
