I realize a Gila kitted Tomos is a rare animal, so a perfect intake may not yet exist. But, this one, to me, is disappointing to the point that I doubt I'll use it. The mounting flange is warped to the tune of .032+" at the bolt holes. So much warpage that if I shave it enough to be flat, it's going to be weak and flimsy in the middle. The weld at the slotted bolt hole is in the way, so that will have to be ground for the bolt & washer to mate flat. The transition angles from the intake pipe to the inside of the flange is pretty funky too.
I guess you could do some machining, rewelding, and filling, after sandblasting it... the powder coating is pretty thick.
Also, it's going to interfere with the petcock on a step-thru frame.
Hopefully MLM will come out with an improved version in the future.
