tight in carb, loose on intake

I also had to pound this thing to get it to fit into my tomos' stock dellorto 14.12 carb. before that I slid it onto the intake and it was pretty loose. I could spin it freely. Now I need to fix the airleak that resulted from it.

So the shim in the picture is what u want but I did not get. I received a shim that was 1.5mm thick but was 5mm too short AND had a lip that was on the outside only allowing the shim to go partially into the carb. It fit tight but my motor was running WILDLY from a MONSTER air leak. I chipped the lip off with a screw driver, then filed it smooth and used a socket to tap it ALL THE WAY into the carb intake. THEN it sealed and my motor idled normal and ran great. Beware of the inverse shim. This is also the shim you want if your Rad enuf to have a kitted MO1.

Used this on my SHA 15:15 very tight fit as I had hoped for and works a TREAT !
Shims right, ships tight
