newnewnew! a 3d printed minarelli v1 fan by the dudes over at DEADPED!
  • The forward and curved blades provide higher airflow than the stock straight blade profile
  • The dust cover is optional and ideal for tweaking your points. Recommended not to run it if you're using a CDI. It's there to keep the points clean, so when your points are dialed in, install the dust cover!
  • The fans/fins aren't indestructable. If you must turn the engine over by hand with the fan installed, do so with the nut on the crankshaft or flywheel windows.
  • Use at least blue, recommended red loctite on the screws
NOTE: minarelli v1s came with a few different types of flywheels. this fan was made as a replacement for the "103" style fan and will only work on the corresponding flywheel. your existing fan will usually have the part # on it.

comes with the fan, dust cover and mounting bolts!

5 of 5 Keepin it COOL March 20, 2015

Keep it COOL dudes and dudets!

The original fans are nearly impossible to find, and this is a perfect replacement part.  Every bit as durable as the original version,  mine has blasted thru keeping my polini kit cool.  I run both the 108 and the 103  and love them.

As far as failures, even the originals failed - that is why they are so hard to find.  Quit bitchin and be glad someone is finally making a reliable - easy to acquire replacement.    At the price, you should buy 2 so you have a spare!

oh yea - Ryan (the MAKER)  has been great to deal with too.  He even custom built one for my pull start conversion.

1 of 5 thoroughly tested??? March 19, 2015

these have not been thoroughly tested.  I have had TWO explode, and I won't be buying or trying another.

the first one I bought exploded after 20 seconds of revving on the stand, max rpms 9500.

the second one was a "mold" prototype.  while it did LOOK better, it still exploded, but this time I got about 10 miles out of it.

I normally don't complain about the MAKERS of the product, but the designer of this product was incredibly rude and blamed "user error" for the exploding fans.  i'm sorry but... how do you fail at putting a fan on???? worst customer service I have ever received and I will never buy a "DEADPEDS" product EVER because of that.

Buyer beware.
