The old shock was "fine" I guess but definitely provided a free horsey ride every time. Hit a bump and I'd get 3-4 bounces off it.  With this new one it feels solid and the rear wheel is better planted against the road. I think I actually can feel a small difference in performance by putting all the power to the wheel rather than the wheel bouncing around on the road.  Helps a lot as I am close to 200lbs which is over the weight limit of the FA50, and with this shock it doesn't feel like it!

Old factory shock only had 2k on it, but this new one seems to have much better dampening.  Does not bottom out like my original did.  Bolts on, no modifications needed.  Looks just like the factory only black.
