No more boing boing boing boing when I hit a crappy part of the road, I didn't even bother messing with the preload. I weigh about 145 pounds and it's just perfect for me. It bolted right up to my '82 NU50 and feels very well made. It's ready for ripping for years to come. Rad!!!

This shock is flat out amazing for the price. I'm 225lbs and honestly had low expectations. Very pleasantly surprised. Seems like a sturdy heavy piece and installs perfectly. Function is amazing. I firmed it up two notches (it's adjustable!) and it is very stiff even with a fat old man on board. Was getting air today blasting over speed humps at about 30mph and the shock handled no problem, like a dirt bike practically. Stock unit would bottom out running over a pebble. Easily the best bang for the buck of anything I've gotten from Treats.

Definitely an upgrade from stock. Haven't tried the highest level on it, but I bet you big guys get a lot more support on it!

Rear end was like a pogo-stick, no damping at all. Installed this, took the bike for a ride, didn't even bother to adjust the pre-load. Works great! BUY IT if you need/want a better shock on your NU50!
Great shock, even for the small men.
