didn't purchase this (thus ignore star rating) but just adding comment to the other review; the three OEM bing 17mm carbs I've used have all had floats like this (iirc brass though, not plastic/foam), with the flat tab and full metal float needle.
I mean, the setup works but I can't say whether it's really any better than the style with the cutout and the needle with the rubber tip. I actually swapped a foam float and rubber-tipped needle from a 12/14 bing into the 17 that I've got on my athena kit... rubber probably seals better than metal?

This is the good stuff. It works. I had a customer with a Kreidler MP-9 with a Bing carb on there. Carb leaked after a cleaning so I replaced the old parts with these parts and wow was it great!
