So excited to get this pipe, but it can't bolt on to my 1976 Chappy lb80! I removed the kickstart lever... still no fit. Next I'll try removing the steps, that might work. For some reason I thought I could just bolt this one, nope. I'll update when i get it to work.

4 of 5 Strange fitting September 16, 2011

It´s a powerful pipe, especielly low and midrange. Just take out the restrictor plate. But to make it fit on a LB50(which it should fit) you have to take the pedals of. It´s insane that the constructors messed up the fitting bigtime with both this one and the Ninja.

i just installed the giannelli exhaust for my 1981 chappy, at first didnt seem it would fit, so i tried the lb 80 swing arm no good, cause you would need the rear wheel from the 80. so what i did was cut off the metal where pedals mount on the exhaust side. thats it. now the chappy was only 23 25 mph tops, im 220 lbs. with new exhaust it reaches 30 32 mph, with a strong midrange, and sounds great. thanks treatland.

so you have to lose your pedals for this pipe, it goes right where they were. I got an lb80 swingarm (no pedal hole) and its been fine. For off road use, remove the restrictor in the header, it pops out easy. As you can see the header is huge, so this is a low end pipe. The baffle is a little small and seems a little weak (just a few rivets) but mine is still holding strong. This pipe is better than the ninja because the ninja restrictor is a half inch thick and built into the header where it mates with the cylinder. lame!
