5 of 5 Works great! June 22, 2020

I decided to get this for my Magnum after watching Dave’s YouTube video. I cut down the bracket like he did and installed it in my bullet headlight with some one sided rubber so it’s snug and not slapping (thanks DFHS) Tach works great, did 5 wraps and heat shrank it. Set the pulses to 2 or it will read double your RPM. Cut the included speedo bracket and painted it black. Bolted it to a fork brace bolt then used clear silicone to stick the magnet to the wheel. (No damage if I remove it unlike epoxy.) Painted the magnet black to match my wheels too. Wired it into my headlight. Used an existing temp wire and soldered it to this one to extend it without the bulky white plug.

5 of 5 I'm a happy man January 9, 2020

I always wanted one of these and I finally pulled the trigger and bought one for my Garelli VIP.  Like most, I also had to extend the temp sensor, but it was easy.  When I first installed, it kept losing power and resetting; however, I called Trail Tech support and they were awesome.  I was running a resistor wire, but non-resistor plug.  Turns out the non-resistor plug can cause some interference issues.  They quickly identified the problem and I flipped to a resistor plug and now the thing works perfectly.  Dialed it in with my GPS.

4 of 5 works well March 19, 2018

the 2 issues I have are the tach is never right, and the temp sensor is too short.  I cut mine and extended it but you can also buy an extension cable.  used on a puch e50

** for the tach, use a 600K ohm resistor and ire directly to points wire.

Hooked this up to my '78 honda express...backlight does not work due to low voltage...make sure you get the extender for temp gauge it was not long enough. Easy to install.
