This made my Newport a bit less of a deathtrap!  better handling, no more handlebar shaking on stops, it almost feels like  a new 'ped!   They were a pretty tight fit but I ended up using a long bolt threaded through the frame with a stack of washers on each side as a makeshift bearing press

Easy install if you have ever done interference fit bearings. I just popped the cups in the freezer for an hour and tapped them in with a block of wood and a hammer. No need to dremmel/hack/torch/grind or use of any plastic explosives!
