this is way better than any stupid cdi? this set up is so easy, and so clean, no more bulky external coil getting in the way, no wire mess, clean, clean, clean.

12 volt light coil + internal ignition coil + well everything else new new new and ready to go. very simple.

this is just the stator plate, no magneto flywheel thing, get the complete set here if you need.

when you get this make sure you clean the points and set them to open the right amount for your setup. they usually come greased and NOT set correctly.

one yellow wire for head/tail light
one black wire for the kill switch
one 5mm black ignition wire to the plug over 15" long
finished.

CDI is totally last year anyway.

this stator will work with lots of mopeds puch ZA50, E50 just use your old flywheel and you are perfecto!

5 of 5 Awesome and stupid easy upgrade for any puch maxi October 5, 2020

This part is great. Haven’t gone on a long test ride yet so I don’t know the full quality of the condenser but I heard that if you go to autozone and get a 1979 Chevy nova 4 cylinder condenser it will replace the stock one and work perfectly. In terms of the installation process, it was phenomenal! It took my brother and I 20 mins to replace the stock stator with this and get the bike running (puch maxi s 2hp). This part went on with no fusses and upon the first test we had spark. So we put the spark plug in and bam! She fired right up. In conclusion, get this part and you won’t be disappointed.

4 of 5 Great, but you MUST prep September 8, 2019

Ok. So these are pretty dang good, but there's a few things you need to know. First, it seems no one lubricates the points wick anymore. I don't know if people just think it's for show or what but you need to get a lubricant on your wick or its just going to wear out the points bump real fast. Second, these have about a 50% fail rate of the condensers. Get a bosch or one from a stihl chainsaw. And lastly, the points screw isn't too tight from the factory and can still float when at high rpm. If you get a backfire, that's what happened. Set the points with some thread locker and make sure you set them correctly, then tighten them down like crazy and let the locker cure before use. If you do all of these things, you will never ever ever have to mess with this part of your bike again. Ever.

If ya use the original flywheel for a batavus m48 with this stator its a direct swaparooni. I had one layin around and tried it on a whim after the stock stator pooped the bed. Works gr8 now!
