wooooowwaaaa motomatic has done it again!!! a custom hobbit rear pulley modified from a scooter driven pulley assembly!

117mm diameter pulley cheeks for even more variation when used with a TJT or 6-roller. larger pulley = the belt starting at a shorter gear = crazy takeoff.

superior overall design to the US style and camino pulleys. improves performance even with stock variator/belt set up as well!!

Didnt last, bent and broke. No amount of welds will make this junk last on anything that makes power. Not wasting my money to buy a second one. Don't waste yours on a first.

3 of 5 High power setups have broken two of these. October 24, 2016

Tried 2 of these. Not getting a 3rd.

1) Minirotor, racecrank, tjt (3 weight slider), h95 Pipe, Athena and derbi metrakit head. Inner cheek (closest to wheel) sheared. Belt was within 2mm of cheek face.

2) Minirotor, racecrank, tjt (3 weight slider), h95 Pipe, Malossi watercooled setup.Inner cheek (closest to wheel) sheared. Belt was within 2mm of cheek face.

I had assumed that 130 dollars would buy me something actually high performance. Pretty disappointing.

3 of 5 Worked like a champ before it broke September 25, 2016

Ok, so this thing is rad, sort of. First off, buy the malossi torsion bushing. You'll need it. I couldn't find any reference to it (via treats or moped army), but maybe I didn't look hard enough. This pulley takes a gy6 spring which rotates in the opposite direction of the drive-train. Without the bushing the spring will "jump out". This happened to me before I found the bushing and once installed all issues where resolved.

Second, buyer beware of welds. Even after installing a bushing, I sheared my rear pulley face off at the weld. This seems to be a weak spot when a weld should be the strongest. I don't mean to knock on Motomatic, maybe my hobbit just puts out too much power for this pulley to handle. When looking at this weld in the pictures advertised porosity can be seen. This is a sign of a bad weld. While mine looked much better, it still gave way. (May be a gy6 flaw?)

All in all, this pulley is pretty sweet. I've had issues, but when working, it puts out monster

5 of 5 better than oem pulley June 23, 2016

You need to change the spring to a gy6, i like the gy6 1000 so you can put lighter weights on the variator. Easier to tune with a tjt.

5 of 5 Another missing link October 2, 2015

Yo dawg, you got that super sick ultra mega swagzilla blasting hobbit?  WTF is this?  You got a stock rear pulley?  DAAAAAAAAAAANG Homie, why sleeping on this?  Get the cash together and get it as soon as it's available.... for reals!

Seriously though, this was a major missing link in my build.  Quality of product is 10/10.  Ease of installation is 10/10.  Performance is 11/10.  You will need to re-tune your front vario weights.  You will not be able to run stock side covers.  You will never regret this purchase.
